Firstly many apologies for calling you Spanish, that is what Goggle said. My father would be so ashamed as he spoke Italian very well :) And again apologies for only being able to write in English but I hope you forum members can use Goggle to translate my words.

I am a British lady who first got interested in Egyptology when I was 9 years old 1964. My first visit to Egypt was in 1979 and I felt I had come home. I was lucky enough to eventually marry an Egyptian who has enabled me to have my dream of living in Egypt. I moved here in 2003 I run a small tourism business called Flats in Luxor which rents out apartments to tourists. I started my blog Luxor News as a way of promoting my business but it has rapidly taken over and has a life of its own. I have been lucky with some stories like KV63 which enabled me to get to know all the team and publishing the lectures at the Mummification Museum has made friends with the Supreme Council of Antiquities people like Ibrahim Soliman, Mansour Boraik and Sabry Aziz. recently I started a course in Egyptology with Manchester University under Dr Roslaie David which is entirely online and can be done by anyone in the world so if anyone has good English they could do it too.

If anyone one comes to Luxor I would love to meet them and share a cold beer

Pertanto rinnovo le scuse, in quanto potrò scrivere esclusivamente in inglese, ma spero che i membri del Forum possano utilizzare Google per tradurre le mie parole.

Sono una donna inglese che ha scoperto l'interesse per l'Egittologia all'età di 9 anni, nel 1964. Il mio primo viaggio in Egitto ebbe luogo nel 1979. Fu allora che mi resi conto che ero giunta a casa. Ho avuto la fortuna di incontrare e sposare un Egiziano che mi ha permesso di realizzare il mio sogno di vivere in Egitto. Mi sono trasferita definitivamente qui nel 2003 e ho avviato una piccola attività commerciale, in ambito turistico, che si chiama "Flats in Luxor" e che affitta appartamenti ai turisti. Ho dato vita al mio Blog "Luxor News" con l'intento iniziale di promuovere la mia attività, ma ben presto ha preso un'altra direzione, alimentandosi di vita propria.
Sono stata fortunata e grazie ad alcune scoperte, come quella relativa alla KV63 a cui mi sono dedicata, è stato possibile incontrare i team di scavo e pubblicare i contenuti delle loro Letture, presentate al Mummification Museum. Ciò mi ha permesso inoltre di stringere amicizia con alcuni membri dello SCA, persone come Ibrahim Soliman, Mansour Boraik and Sabry Aziz.
Recentemente ho poi iniziato un corso di Egittologia con la Manchester University, diretto dalla Dr.ssa Rosalie David, che è interamente online e può essere seguito da chiunque nel mondo, purchè possieda una buona conoscenza dell'inglese.

Se qualcuno di voi dovesse venire a Luxor sarò felice di poterlo incontrare davanti a una bella birra fresca!
